Ger-manic

Rhine Cup:
1 Bottle Liebfraumilch, Cognac, Cointreau, Anisette, Gomme, Soda - Served in a punchbowl with seasonal fruits, preferably in the summer watching the cruise boats sail down the Rhein.

Hock & Seltzer:
German Rhine Wine, Soda - There are several German Hocks to choose from, dry and sweet wines with a pronounced earthiness and great aging potential.

German Bight:
Apfelkorn, Honey Liqueur, Dry & Sweet Vermouth, Pineapple Juice - A fruity tasting drink, made with apple schnapps, the word in this case meaning the sweet liqueur from apples macerated in spirit, as opposed to the higher-strength, dry spirits found in Germany.

Apfelstrudel:
Cinnamon schnapps, Apfelkorn, White Cacao, Dark Cacao, Apple Juice, Single Cream Float- When out for "Kaffee und Kuchen" on Sunday, this is not a very commonplace "dessert" in the much-frequented German cafés.

Apfelsinthe:
Absinthe, Apfelkorn, Apple Juice, Fresh Lime, Passion Fruit Juice - A rather strong cocktail, but extremely tasty; created by Alex Kammerling, formerly of Detroit Bar in London's Covent Garden.

Bohemian Iced Tea:
Lemon Vodka, Honey Liqueur, Becherovka Liqueur, Chilled Earl Grey Tea, Dash Lemon - Made with the Czech national liqueur and a winner of the Becherovka cocktail competition in 1998, this is "brewed" in a teapot and served in teacups, Speakeasy-style: Bohemian indeed!
