1 Bottle Liebfraumilch, Cognac, Cointreau, Anisette, Gomme, Soda
- Served in a punchbowl with seasonal fruits, preferably in the
summer watching the cruise boats sail down the Rhein.
Hock
& Seltzer:
German Rhine Wine, Soda - There are several German Hocks to choose
from, dry and sweet wines with a pronounced earthiness and great
aging potential.
German
Bight:
Apfelkorn, Honey Liqueur, Dry & Sweet Vermouth, Pineapple Juice
- A fruity tasting drink, made with apple schnapps, the word in
this case meaning the sweet liqueur from apples macerated in spirit,
as opposed to the higher-strength, dry spirits found in Germany.
Apfelstrudel:
Cinnamon schnapps, Apfelkorn, White Cacao, Dark Cacao, Apple Juice,
Single Cream Float- When out for "Kaffee und Kuchen" on
Sunday, this is not a very commonplace "dessert" in the
much-frequented German cafés.
Apfelsinthe:
Absinthe, Apfelkorn, Apple Juice, Fresh Lime, Passion Fruit Juice
- A rather strong cocktail, but extremely tasty; created by Alex
Kammerling, formerly of Detroit Bar in London's Covent Garden.
Bohemian
Iced Tea:
Lemon Vodka, Honey Liqueur, Becherovka Liqueur, Chilled Earl Grey
Tea, Dash Lemon - Made with the Czech national liqueur and a winner
of the Becherovka cocktail competition in 1998, this is "brewed"
in a teapot and served in teacups, Speakeasy-style: Bohemian indeed!
